C.S. Lewis was a man of extraordinary giftedness who possessed an astonishing ability to present complicated concepts and ideas in easily comprehensible and non-intimidating ways. When, as an adult, he grabbed hold of Christianity – or as he would say, when Christianity grabbed hold of him – Lewis became one of its greatest apologists. C.S. Lewis: Beyond Narnia focuses on the life of this extraordinary apologist, academic and writer of the well-known and much-loved children’s books, The Chronicles of Narnia. He was, in his way, a dangerous man who threatened the dry, intellectualism of his donnish colleagues as well as the restrictive conservatism of post war Christian religion. In the middle of it all Narnia was born and as consecutive young audiences have always been the first to realize, Narnia needs no justification. Narnia lives and speaks for itself… And speaks for Lewis.
